Dangerously Fit Shipping Protection Charter

1. Your Rights Under UK Consumer Law

Dangerously Fit complies with the Consumer Rights Act 2015, the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, and all UK consumer protection laws.

As a UK customer, you are legally entitled to:

  • Goods that are as described, fit for purpose, and of satisfactory quality

  • Delivery within the timeframe stated (or within 30 days unless agreed otherwise)

  • A repair, replacement, or refund if goods are faulty or not as advertised

  • Clear pricing with no misleading information

These rights cannot be excluded or replaced by any policy or optional add-on.

2. What Is Shipping Protection? (Optional Add-On)

Shipping Protection is an optional premium service available at checkout.
It does not replace your statutory rights under UK consumer law.

It provides additional benefits for courier-related issues, including:

  • Guaranteed resolution for courier loss or damage

  • Priority customer support

  • Express replacement shipping

  • Replacement dispatched early when possible (before a return is processed)

Shipping Protection is optional and non-mandatory.

3. What Shipping Protection Covers

If Shipping Protection was purchased, the following are covered:

  • Parcel lost in transit

  • Parcel damaged during transit

  • Parcel mis-delivered or incorrectly marked “delivered”

  • Priority review and fast resolution

Where possible, we dispatch replacements immediately to minimise delays.

4. What Shipping Protection Does Not Cover

Shipping Protection does not apply in the following situations:

  • Incorrect or incomplete address provided by the customer

  • Customer requests an address change after dispatch

  • Parcel stolen after successful delivery (e.g., taken from doorstep or safe place)

  • Customer refusal of delivery or repeated missed delivery attempts

  • Damage caused by misuse, modification, or normal wear and tear

  • Delays or issues caused by:

    • Severe weather

    • Natural disasters

    • Customs delays

    • Carrier strikes

    • Force majeure events

  • Orders shipped without Shipping Protection selected at checkout

5. How to Make a Shipping Protection Claim

If you purchased Shipping Protection, please email:

[email protected]
Subject line: “Shipping Protection Claim – Order #XXXX”

Include:

  • Your full name

  • Order number

  • Description of the issue (lost / damaged / incorrect delivery)

  • For damaged items: clear photos of packaging and product

Timeframes to submit a claim:

  • Damaged deliveries: within 3 days of confirmed delivery

  • Missing deliveries: within 3 days of the estimated delivery date

If approved, we will dispatch a replacement or issue a refund if the item is unavailable.

6. If You Decline Shipping Protection (Standard Delivery)

If Shipping Protection is not selected:

  • Your order is shipped under Standard Delivery

  • We will still assist by opening a courier investigation

  • However, a replacement or refund is not guaranteed, as courier compensation may be limited

  • Resolution times depend entirely on the courier

  • We cannot ship replacement items prior to courier confirmation

This is consistent with standard UK carrier terms (DPD, EVRi, Royal Mail, etc.).

7. Shipping Protection Fee

Shipping Protection is charged at:

1.5% of the order total

The fee is applied per order at checkout.

8. Faulty Goods, Returns & Your Legal Rights

Your rights under the Consumer Rights Act remain unaffected:

Faulty or Not-as-Described Goods

You may:

  • Reject the goods within 30 days for a full refund

  • Request a repair or replacement after 30 days

  • Request a final refund if repair/replacement is unsuccessful

These rights apply regardless of Shipping Protection.

Change-of-Mind Returns

Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations:

  • You may return most items within 14 days of receiving them

  • Items must be unused and in original condition

  • Return shipping costs are the customer’s responsibility unless the item is faulty

(You may link to your Returns Policy here.)

9. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by UK law:

  • Dangerously Fit is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as loss of income or inconvenience

  • Our maximum liability for any claim is the order value of the affected goods

This limitation does not apply to:

  • Faulty or misdescribed goods

  • Situations where exclusion is prohibited by UK law

  • Personal injury caused by negligence

10. Fraud Prevention & Policy Misuse

We may refuse claims involving:

  • Fraudulent reporting

  • Repeated claims with inconsistent evidence

  • Misuse or abuse of Shipping Protection

False claims may be referred to relevant UK authorities or the courier.

11. Policy Updates

We may update these Terms at any time.
Changes apply to orders placed after the revised Terms are published.
